Networking with the "Underdog."
Another year, another struggle. We can always do something to help others. It’s nothing for a person to assist in a way that will actually put you in a better position. Networking is the word, and this year, we’re trying to put ourselves in a position where we MATTER. Independant artists have such a hard time, it makes no sense to believe that you’d make your mark if you have no intentions of networking. Success relies on your ability to do that, now a days. If you can’t give it up, you gain NOTHING. Remember that. It’s about the underdog. The reason the underdog eventually makes it is because someone gave ‘em a SHOT. You never know who you’ll find. They told Anita Baker she was finished and couldn’t sing. Well, I’m sure the folks who told her that are kicking themselves in the ass every time they hear her songs on the radio. It only took someone to believe in the underdog, and that was it. Yeah. We suffer from delusions of grandeur when it comes to believing that we make a DIFFERENCE. ‘Cause we know we DO.
